DISCONTINUOUS ROOFING
Other than using roof tiles, discontinuous roofing is made by installing metal sheets, corrugated sheets, in double seaming and with draining joints and sandwich panels, in steel, titanium zinc, aluminium and copper, suitably installed and coupled with thermal insulation or pre-coupled with thermal insulation sandwich panels.
Correct installation requires particular attention to the fixings, in such a way that they are reliable even in the case of strong winds and in connection with the elements, using joints that ensure impermeability and which allow for thermal expansion. It is important to choose the most suitable product according to the structure of the roof, the pitch of the roof, the required use such as walkability, thermal insulation, noise requirements and so on.
Sometimes it is necessary to provide vapour barriers to prevent the formation of condensation, install protection from snow, or create life lines for future maintenance.
In the case of installing a photovoltaic or solar panel system we will have to carefully choose the materials according to the requirements of the roof, with particular attention to the anchoring of the panels.
ISOMEC offers different solutions with different materials in order to find the optimal solution based on the characteristics of the building and the customer’s needs.
